REMEMBRANCE DAY TRIBUTE Nov. 6 - Nov. 12

The Knights of Columbus will be honoring our veterans this year by erecting a field of crosses at the cenotaph in North Rustico from Friday November 6th to Thursday November 12th.  There will be an individualized cross for each of the more than 400 men and women who have served with our military and who have passed from this life, may they rest in peace.  We will remember them.

Although the town will not be hosting its usual ceremony this year, Oh Canada will be played at 10:57 followed by the Last Post at 10:58.  Two minutes of silence will follow at 11:00.  The ceremony will conclude with the Lament and the Reveille to be played on the sound system at Seawalk Park.  Following this, the town invites you to lay your wreath or poppy at the cenotaph in honour of a veteran.  You are encouraged to visit the cenotpah in the days leading up to Remembrance and paying your respects individually or in small groups while wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
