March for Life
Overview
The Knights of Columbus encourages others to choose life through public support of the pro-life cause. Our council will be participating in the pilgrimage of the Silver Rose as well as hosting the Silver Rose prayer service on Tuesday March 23rd at 7pm @ St. Augustine's church, Rustico. The national March for Life will be held May 13, 2021. |
Pregnancy centre support
Overview
Change hearts and minds about abortion by showing that the Knights of Columbus loves both mother and child before and after birth. Councils can provide material, financial, labor and other support to pro-life pregnancy centers that help women during pregnancy and following the birth of their newborn children. Our KofC council is a life member of PEI Life and we contributed $150 in support of their "Island Angel's project" in February this year. |
Ultrasound
Overview
Save lives by helping women choose life by giving them the opportunity to view their unborn children on ultrasound machines at pro-life pregnancy centers. This initiative is funded by Knights of Columbus state and local councils with matching grants from the Supreme Council’s Culture of Life Fund. In the past year, our KofC council has donated $500 towards specialty medical diagnostic and imaging equipment at the QEH. |
