Family.Father McGivney sought to strengthen the bonds of families in his parish and the Knights of Columbus. These programs, created for families by families, help us to live this call.

Food for FamiliesOverview: Help end hunger in communities across North America. Many people in our communities are struggling through hardship and unable to provide food to their families. Food for Families ensures that as few as possible go to bed hungry each night. Our Knights of Columbus council supports and operates a food pantry at Stella Maris church. The food pantry services families in need throughout the parishes of St. Anne's, St. Augustine's and Stella Maris. We are very thankful for the tremendous community and parish support that we have received for this program. Your generosity is what makes this program so successful. For more information contact Donald Blacquiere at 902-569-8536. Funding for the food bank has been provided in part by community grants from Reaching Home PEI and The John Howard Society We would like to thank all of the businesses, community groups, schools and individuals who provided donations of cash or in kind goods in support of our foodbank over the past year especially; The Nieuwhof family, Rustico Lions club, Cymbria Lions club, The Food Mart, Gallant's Clover farm, Gulf Shore School and Ecole St. Augustin. As we welcome the promise of a New Year and better times ahead, we know that the requirement to feed families in need will go on and we look forward to your continued support. God bless you all. |

Keep Christ in ChristmasOverview:
Promote the true spirit of Christmas in homes, schools, parishes and communities. Councils will evangelize society through their faithful acts, celebrations and a variety of activities. The Knights of Columbus offers multiple activities that promote Christmas and the season of Advent in their proper context: Journey to the Inn, Spread the Light of Christ, Crèche or Advent Wreath Blessing, and the Christmas Poster Contest. These programs are centered on the example of the Holy Family and the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. |
